Today we traveled from Torino (Turin) to Asolo via train and rental car, about 400 km. We arrived in thunderstorms giving way to clouds and a beautiful sunset.
The B&B Casasolana was the one we left last year to fly home for Eric's emergency retinal surgery. We have so much looked forward to returning here.
We were greeted by Arturo the owner and we knew our circle was complete. Arturo and his daughter Elisabetta truly made us feel at home in their wonderful B&B.
In the late afternoon we walked (climbed) the big hill to the historic village. We walked around and found a bakery and bought treats for later.
We relaxed at an outdoor bar with wine and a spritzer taking in the views of this ancient village.
Later in the evening we each had an incredible "shin of pork" with polenta for dinner. Thank god we had walked the hills to help burn off this meal. It was incredibly delicious.
We are so lucky.
We are so lucky.
